I relieved at morning tea and lunchtime on the Public Counter in the Registration Hall of the Department of Motor Transport in 99 Macquarie Street, Sydney where members of the public renewed their car registrations and drivers licences, etc. Because heavy vehicles had to come into the City to be registered, our Department later moved to Rosebery. This photo was taken recently of the Hall without the backing partition....
