Quick Start Guide

Before you begin — have one or two photos of your subject ready.

Build over time — don't feel you need to add dozens of Moments straight away.

1. Register

Create an account with your email address and a password.

Confirm your email address, then sign in to start your story.

2. Create a LifeTimeLine

Open My LifeTimeLines from the navigation menu.

Enter the person's name and an optional short name, then click “Add a New Record”.

Choose a photo from your computer or device and write a short description, then save.

You can update the title, description, photo and person details at any time. You are now ready to add Moments.

3. Add Moments

While viewing one of your LifeTimeLines, click “Add a Moment”.

Choose an image, enter a date (at least the year) and a description, then click “Save Moment”. If you do not know the exact date, select “Approximate date”.

Open a Moment to see the full image, move between Moments, or edit it.

4. Publish your LifeTimeLine

When you are happy with your content, click “Publish”, then “Publish now”.

You can continue adding Moments. Published stories appear on the home page and in search. Use Share to copy a link for friends and family. Unpublish a story to make it private, or keep individual Moments private using their editor.

Photos

There are several apps you can use to scan photos with your phone. Save your photos as JPEG, PNG, GIF or WebP, up to 5 MB each.
